Striving for Excellence, Anchored in Hope

Dear Parents/Guardians/Students/Community,

Welcome to Banning High School, the Home of the Broncos.
BHS offers enthusiastic and challenging instruction for students with a focus on rigor, relevance, and relationships.

You have entrusted us with your child's education and future. We are dedicated to providing students with the best possible learning experience. BHS has a dynamic staff of educators committed to the success of each student. The students, teachers, staff, and community make Banning High School a fabulous place to learn.

Departments work to ensure that all lessons are CA standards aligned. In addition, we prepare our students for all high stakes tests including curriculum embedded common assessments, department benchmarks, California Standards Tests (CST), Advanced Placement Exams (AP), SAT Reasoning Test, and the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). All students are expected to excel. It is important that students know what tests they will take and have acquired the skills necessary to pass the exams.

The ongoing partnership between parents, students, teachers, and staff is vital to every child’s success. It is important that parents take an active interest and are involved in their child’s education and eagerly support our educational efforts. We set high standards of academic excellence, regular attendance, and superior behavior and work together collaboratively with parents and the community to ensure each student reaches his or her individual potential.

Together we are committed to keeping Banning High School safe and secure, free from violence, bullying, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, graffiti, and harassment. Our staff will provide students with the necessary support to face issues unique to the high school age student.

We want to thank you for your help and cooperation. At BHS we focus on Every Student, Every Chance, Every Day!

Respectfully,
Mr. John Curtis
Principal
